Technology blog entry (12)--- touch screen pen is a sausage ?

Usually , a touch screen phone is accompanied with a specific touch screen pen. However, the iphone doesn't go with it. Although it is quite unreasonable as most functions of the iphone are controlled by screen touching, Apple seems to have no plan on adding an "official pen " on it's product.

For me, I think it is necessory because an "official pen" could prevent "my asset" ( I called it "my asset " because it costed me HKD$4000 ~~~really expensive!!!) to be scraped. Secondly, I no need to expose my hands to the icy air in winter!! I can wear gloves and use this pen to control my iphone ( iphone's screen can't sense your touch when you are wearing gloves~~~~don't believe me ? try it !).Finally, it's already had an "specific pen" for iphone in the market, but it is sold separately and costed HKD$299 ( what??? HKD$299 for a plastic stick ??crazy~) . I will never ever buy it ( unless I win the mark six !hahahaha)!!

Luckily , there are some smart guys who have an idea of using snack sausage as a touch screen pen! A lot of reports are showing which brand of sausage is " the best friend " of iphone, or even ipad!

I don't think I am silly to buy a snack sausage immediately and test if this method is workable or not.........I'am just curious~~guess what's happen ?????

My conclusion :

wrapped snack sausage------ not workable on iphone, but it works on Nokia, htc & Nexus ( thank you for my friends to SACRIFICED their phones~)

unpacked snack sausage------ workable on all touch screens ~~ Oh My God! It better use back my finger!

Technology blog entry (11)--- for those who are using IE6 and IE7

For those who are using IE6 or IE7, tomorrow is an important day because Microsoft will release a supporting service pack which is aimed at preventing attack from the hacker.Microsoft urge users to download and install this service pack as soon as possible.
This service pack, is different from those released by Microsoft on every Tuesday of the 2nd week of each Month. It is said to be a "OUT OF BAND" program which is launched urgently to protecting the customer.
According to the information from Microsoft, the hacker could remote control the computers which are using IE6 or IE7 through the leak of the program. However, IE8 and IE5 have no this problem.

In fact, Microsoft's General Manager of Trustworthy Computing Security, George Stathakopoulos has already warned the public (especially the business or public corporations )about the security problems of IE6 and IE7 on January.He strongly recommended the user of IE6 or IE7 to upgrade his/her explore to IE8.It is because there are some reports on the attack on Google and Adobe. The victims are all using IE6 or the older versions.

Technology blog entry (10)--- PSP GO doesn't go ~~

PSP has been the "big brother " of portable game for a long period of time, it's time for Sony to bring something new to the market. I have been waiting for 6 years . However , The new member of Sony really disappointed me~

PSP GO, with 16GB onbroad memory , bluetooth supported, a monitor which is 46% lighter than PSP 3000 and a smaller volumn. Superifically , it sounds much better then PSP3000, but it really can't gain popularity among young people. Most of my friends ( me also ) are prefer to buy a new PSP 3000 instead of buying a PSP GO ( I have already brought a PSP 3000 after I broke my PSP 2000~ research was done before I made this decision. My conclusion is ----PSP GO is suck~~ ). The major problem is that, the games which are going to play in PSP GO are required to dowdload from Sony's website ( of course , we need to pay ....) . Although, downloading music , movie, software, etc are very common in modern society, it is not workable for games. To be a TV game enthusiast, I prefer to keep an UMD in my hand rather than just download a file and store it in the onbroad memory ( Usually, the things that I download to play is free of charge...... hahahah). Also, the cost of downloading a game is almost as same as buying an UMD. It is not worth to pay. What will happen if my PSP GO is broken??? I will lost my machine and all of my games............ A TOTAL LOST !!!

Secondly, the games of PSP cannot be transfered to PSP GO. The Sales of PS3 pops up isn't only because of it's new visual impact. The other reason is that PS3 give us a choice to play a new game with better visual quality , at the same time, we could still keep playing our favourite Ps2 games with this new machine. However, PSP GO has already eliminated the UMD drive. We could not run the PSP 3000's game anymore..........All my UMDs will be wasted......

Moreover, the number of game accompanied to launch with PSP GO is limited. Sony didn't transform the PSP's games into GO version on time to attract us~!!!

PSP GO was launched on 18-Jan,2010.It has been in the market for 3 months but I still can't see it in the MTR............ ( also in the Sony's showroom , poor kid~~ it is put in a dark corner!!!!! can't understand the stategy of Sony. Or , it has been abandoned?)What I can see now are still PSP and NDS. If Sony really wanted to strike the market by this stuff, I think it is a total lost because PSP GO doesn't go far................

Technology blog entry (9)--- Austraila's internet filter

It is Google again~ the Communication Minister of Australia Stephen Conroy called it " probably the world's leading deep packet filterer, unbeknownst to most people". What make Stephen Conroy saying this is that, the Austraila's government is planning to force ISPs to filter web pages that contain refused content (RC). Usually, the RC is refered to somethings contain child sexual abuse materials. The gov is requesting Google to do it , but Google is claimming that the RC may be a broad catergory that included not just child pornography, but the social and political material.For example, crime, abortion, euthanasia,etc........yes! an obvioius refuse!!!
In fact,the internet filtering scheme planned by the austraila gov is not welcome by the public. The austrailan thinks that to educate people more about the online safety is more practical than just block it away. It is because people has their right to choose. "Protecting the children from harmful materials" is not an excuse, parents should take the responsibility to guide their child instead of depending on the filter scheme.Austraila is a country where people is always enjoying the freedom of speech. There is no need to have this kind of policy.

Google has already criticized the plan to "legitimate the existance of the internet filter". It 's just like what the autarchic countries are doing.
The autarchic country the Google refered to , obviously is China. Google has already anounced to pull out from China because she 's no longer filter the web contents. See the video news about this !!!

Technology blog entry (8)--Google TV

Google is going to expand it's business to the TV industry ! To team up with Sony and Intel, Google TV will be coming soon. The format of Google TV, according to the report of the New York Times , will be worked like a " set-top box" of HD TV. Android will be the platform of the whole TV system ( similar to the Nexus ), the clip will be developed by Intel and Sony will mainland focus on the hardware. The remote control may be designed as a mini keyboard by Logitech.

If it sucessful come true, people could surf to the social Network websites like Facebook and Twitter through TV. It can also perform the function of search engine and broadcasting video clips as Youtube. It is really a convenience development as finally, TV & Computer could combined together. The number of monitor in my home will be decreased ( it makes me frustrated as a dozen of monitor is surrounding me everyday~~~). Furthermore, it will bring a great profit to Google as there must have a boom on advertisments.

Technology blog entry (7)--Google Street View

Google has launched the Street views since 2007 . Although the pictures we could find in the website is not very up to date, people are enjoying to search and see what is happening around their living or working place. Some people may wanna see something which are far far away from them.

Street views, in fact, is a map, but with a function of providing the actual view of the location. Cameras set in different angle took the photos at any corner all over the world. Then,special editing methods are used to combine the photos into at least 270 degree of view.

In Google's website, it has already stated very clear that the views in here could not give you the current image of the site, the picture may be taken a month or even 2 years ago! I appreciate that Google is so honest to tell us the truth, but it's honesty may make some people to stay away from this map.

One thing I wanna encourage is , Google is keeping on updating it's tool and manpower to taking pics for the street views. The places included is increasing. Recently, a new vehicle called " Trike" is used to take over the job from the original Van and car . " Trike", in fact, is a 3-wheeled tricycle in a device reminiscent of an ice cream cart. It lets the googles to reach areas which is unable to access by car, such as college campuse, hiking site, etc.

The most disappointed thing of the Street View is , China has not yet included. I am so sure that, it still have a very long time to run , both for the Google & China. Unless the conflict between China gov and the Google is settle , otherwise we can't see the pics of China in the Street View .

Technology Blog entry (6) Wireless Router @ my home

huh~ I always believe that I am an up-to-date person and familiarize with most of the hi-tech stuffs. In fact, I am wrong! It is because I have just known there is a thing called WIRELESS ROUTER , which can help you to turn your household broadband into wi fi !!!!

PCCW is promoting this kind of service. If you are using the household broadband of PCCW and wanting to surf wireless at your home. You can pay HKD $ 18 extra for a month,PCCW will set up a modem for you. Then , you can enjoy wireless service within your own house. Also, more than 1 computer could received the signal from this modem and get online together at the same time. Although HKD $18 is not a big amount, I am not using PCCW, so I haven't thought of enjoying this kind of conveience.However, one of my friend told me that I can save this HKD $18.00 because this kind of router could be brought everywhere!! The most unhappy thing for me is that , he has been using this for about 2 yrs!!! Yes~ It seems that I am leaving behind a lot ~~~~

Ok, after knowing the truth, the most important thing for me is to buy a wireless router and set it up immediately~It is because I have been competing for the broadband line with my mother and father for a period of time!! (regret to taught them how to get online!!!) . It is not a suprise that setting up the router is quite easy. You just need to insert a CD and follow the steps. And, it is tested that 4 computers could be gone online together ( 1 using the broadband, the other 3 by using the wireless signal ). The maximun speed of my router is 300Mpbs. I think it is enough for my family. Using this kind of router is absolutely safe because you can set up a password to prevent the others to jam in. Furthermore, you can create your own internal network by this router,too.

The price of this lovely stuff is extremely attractive! It costed me only HKD $150~ ( HKD $150 can help me to screen out my mom & dad!!!! NICE PRICE! right ???)

P.S--- for those who wanna buy a wireless router, as my house is small, every router for me is the same. If your house a big ~ you better do some research before buying a router as different brand may have different performance:

Technology Blog entry (5) destroy your iphone to show your loyalty~

You can use iphone to call your friend , to surf on the website you want , or even play games. Jesus~ somebody use iphone to show his loyalty~ Who is he? A guys called Stephen Elop(President of Micrsoft's business division), who used to be a staff of Apple, but is working for Microsoft right now, ruined his iphone in front of his colleuages to show that he is " the man " of Microsoft! I don't know his behavior is extreme enough to catch the eye of his boss or not, but it is funny enough to make Steve Jobs laughing ( He's won a battle!! ).

The Wall Street Journal, use the words " Forbidden Fruit" to describe the iphone , as this tiny Hi-tech stuff is unofficially banded within the microsoft. Some executives of Microsoft grab the iphone off from their subordinates when they see anybody using it during the meeting. Some are placing their colleuges' iphones on the floor and pretending to ruin it.......

The Microsoft workers , spend their time on thinking of how to hide up their "Apple". They wrab the "fruit" with some cases or not to pick up the phone call when they having meeting with their supervisiors~

According to the Wall Street Journal, 10% of Microsoft's staffs are using iphone. That's mean at least 10 thosands people are having a need to play this hide & seak ~~Haha, but i don't think the Microsofts need to be so afraid of putting their "lovely apple buddies " under the light~ as iphone 's already occupied over 25% of the smartphone market. It has nothing wrong for the people who are working in an advanced technology company to own a latest tech toy ( I believe most of the Microsofts must have a PS2 or PS3 instead of Xbox .....) . Furthermore, Apple mac computers are allowed to use in the Microsoft group for a long period of time.

So, Microsoft executives~ don't be so mean to your subordinates ~

We are really surprise that the Crystal Tattoo sticker could be sold out first! In fact, the facial mask seemed more popular at the beginning. We had received at lot of enquiries about this. Price was bargaining back and forth. However, nobody could reach our target price (We don’t wanna sell out the good with the price lost ~ you know, this is a real business~ must make some profit! right?)

For the tattoo sticker, although we have been re-put the item for 2 times, we sold it out at our desired price (but 1 more hair clip was offered with the sticker).

In the process of this internet Auction, we have drawn out some conclusions:
1. Yahoo is more popular than eBay in Hong Kong (Our 1st try, over size Mens Jean, with extremely few hit rate in eBay, but the facial mask and crystal tattoo got a lot of viewers to click in).

2. The Auction page setting of Yahoo is more easy to use or read for buyer and seller. In eBay, we need to design page setting by ourselves. The information came out is not unified. Sometimes, people need to read a long paragraph to get the details they need. In Yahoo, boxes are provided for the seller to fill in the information. The details come out in a unified format. People can easily find out the most important information they need by just selecting the related column.

3. Member fee is required in Yahoo. Now, putting thing in Yahoo Auction need to pay 1% of the initial selling price for the administration charge. This is the only disadvantage of Yahoo over eBay (eBay is totally fee!)

4. People are interested in something with price less than HKD$100. The price of our 1st try (the Jean) was too high. It may not attractive to the internet buyer as this risky to buy an expensive thing online ( I have a bad experience of receiving a box of stones after paying few thousands dollars for a Guitar )

5. People are seeing the internet seller as an normal retail store ( we only offer 1 box of facial mask , but people think that we must have more than 1 box~ )

6. People don’t make the bid before confirming the sale with us.

This is not really an Auction we confirm to sell our good first, and than the lady make the bid to stop the auction.I think this is the characteristic of Hong Kong~The internet Auction not really as a real Auction!
